Just got mine a week ago in the charcoal burl finish, and I love this guitar! If you need a good entry level 8 string, or fan fret, or both, get this guitar! Good amount of bang for your buck.

Got mine in last week, and it is a very good instrument. Frets are perfect, no sharp points or anything like that that I had to file down. Tuning has been pretty much rock solid (I think largely due to the straight thru pull of the headstock design). Came in set up pretty well (action is a bit higher than I like it, but that is a preference thing). Intonation is spot on, fretboard and neck are smooth as can be. The finish on this thing is absolutely beautiful… There is a slight blemish on the headstock finish where it looks like the veneer didn’t quite match up with the headstock, but other than that no finish issues. Electronics are all fine. It plays great, sounds great.

Now, one more thing to point out that is less specific to this guitar, and more a testament to the company… I had originally purchased a different model 8 string that was on clearance (non-fanned, older model 200 series), and by the time Legator got to setting mine up, that model was sold out. During set up, they found some non-repairable issues with the guitar, and so the emailed me to let me know. Now, instead of refunding me the amount and telling me to pick something out and pay the difference, they told me to go on the site, and pick out any guitar in the 200 series that I wanted to replace it with, with no additional charge. That is some pretty amazing customer service, and something that I’m pretty sure the Gibsons and Fenders of the world won’t do. 100% satisfied with this purchase, this company, and will be looking at Legator for my next guitar purchase as well.
